If there are really gods in the world, then the meaning of their existence is only to fulfill the wishes of believers, or to greedily absorb the incense offered by believers and build a golden body early.
Leng Du is not a god in the traditional sense. Rather than saving all sentient beings, he would rather build a golden body and attain enlightenment and ascend to heaven. He was just passing the time to help a mortal, and Jingzhen was enshrined by accident. There is an endless stream of people asking for wishes from him. Is the wish they are asking for correct or against the way of heaven? He doesn't care.
Intention: Should the worshiped god unconditionally satisfy the wishes of believers just to achieve enlightenment for himself, or should he be indifferent to everything and despise everyone like an ant?
