Introduction
On the day when the new emperor ascended the throne, Ji Muyan knelt at the bottom of the hundred officials. He was once the most valued eldest son of the late emperor, but because he was not born to the queen, he missed out on the throne. Now, his half-brother Ji Yuanan is wearing a yellow robe, and the first imperial edict orders him to "never leave the palace forever."
"Brother," the young emperor stepped on his back with dragon boots, "from today on, you are my canary in the cage."
Ji Yuanan took pleasure in torturing him - breaking the wrist bones of his pen, tearing up his collection of classics, and even taking Ji Yan, the orphan girl he rescued from the snow, as a hostage. Whenever Ji Muyan tried to resist, the little girl's cries would come from the deep palace.
But no one knows that this seemingly weak and deposed prince is actually the descendant of the mysterious "Markless Sword" in the world. He endured humiliation time and time again just to protect the little life that called him "Daddy".
When a border rebellion broke out and Ji Yuanan went on a personal expedition but found himself in a desperate situation, a figure in white single-handedly entered the enemy camp. The moment the bloody sword tip opened the emperor's curtain, Ji Yuanan finally saw clearly the truth hidden under his twisted mind.
"What reward do you want?" The wounded emperor asked in a hissing voice.
Ji Muyan pointed his sword at his throat: "I want you to kneel down and give Yan'er back to me."
Concept: Ji Muyan is so pitiful
