This is a story with two heroines. The whole text will not hurt for the sake of pain, nor will it be suppressed to the end. There are breaths, tenderness, and moments when it is truly like light.
Chang Xi, who was originally living an ordinary high school life on campus, was abducted by human traffickers into the isolated mountains during a trip and sold to a stranger as a child bride. In the darkness of imprisonment and despair, she almost lost all hope until she met Shi Chao, a girl from the city.
Xiao Chao lay on the top of the high wall, smiling brightly and softly, and asked her softly: "What is your name?" Then he looked at her seriously and promised word by word: "I will definitely take you out."
A piece of candy and a word became Chang Xi's only support in the darkness. They get close to each other and keep each other warm. They think that they can usher in a new life by escaping from the mountains, and that they can escape all suffering by catching each other.
But escaping did not heal the wounds carved into the bones and blood. After Xiao Chao left, all the anxiety, pain and collapse swallowed Chang Xi again. She thought she had walked out of the cage, but in the end she realized that she was alone and fell into another deeper, quieter abyss from which she could never get out.
