Intention: "Start under the ginkgo tree and reach perfection under the ginkgo tree. Twenty years later, thank you for having you."
This sentence is the soul of the entire novel.
"Under the Ginkgo Tree" is the starting point of four people's youth - on the first day of their first year of high school, they stood side by side under the century-old ginkgo tree for the first time. In the next three years, all the laughter, tears, struggles, and growth revolved around this tree. It is a silent witness, a scale of time, and a totem of their friendship.
"Go to consummation under the ginkgo tree" - after high school graduation and wedding, they returned to this tree. It is not the end, but the starting point of another form. From a boy to an adult, from classmates to a couple, their identities have changed and their relationships have deepened, but the bond between the four people has never changed.
"Twenty years" is the weight of time. From their acquaintance at the age of three to their marriage at the age of twenty-three, they have been together for twenty years. How many twenty years can a life last? And their most precious time was given to each other.
This sentence appears in the last frame of the wedding video. It is the four people's look back on the past twenty years and their expectations for the long years to come.
