Lin Shi first met Lu Heng at the pet shop where he worked. Cold, few words, like an unsheathed knife. He remembered the name and the cold smell of tobacco on that person. He thought they would meet again. But what appeared in the store later was another face that was exactly the same.
He called him Lu Heng, and he answered. He thought he had waited.
He didn't know that Lu Heng had a younger brother. Lu Ci, a graduate student in medical school, looks bright on the outside, but hides unwillingness inside. He hates that his brother is better than him in everything, and hates that everyone only remembers him as "Dr. Lu's younger brother." He discovered his brother's secret - the business card of the pet shop was stored in his mobile phone, his driving records detoured through that street every Wednesday, and there was a foster care slip in the drawer with a name written on it: Lin Shi. His brother didn't say anything, just glanced across the street occasionally.
Lu Ci thought: Why? He went to that store. He didn't say he was his younger brother. He made Lin Shi think he was Lu Heng.
Later, he was really moved and really scared. He wrote a letter but did not send it. He wanted to wait for the right time. Little did he know that he would never get another chance.
This is a story about misrecognition and too late. Some people are always cold, some people lie to you with a smile, and some people believe it all their lives.
Intention: I regard you as him and love you all my life.
