Jiang Xunwu, a 26-year-old illustrator, has been plagued by insomnia and nightmares all year round. The familiarity of strange street corners, the inexplicable grief when a stranger dies, and the recurring blurry figures in the paintings all imply that her life is not real.
The appearance of the psychiatrist Lu Yan, the grandmother's prophecy before her death that "this life is a dream", and a pendant that can sense dissociated consciousness, gradually tear away the disguise of reality: it turns out that everyone's life is a dream projected by consciousness. Life and death of the physical body are nothing but the opening and awakening of dreams; consciousness itself is eternal.
When Jiang Xunwu knew that she and Lu Yan were lovers who could not say goodbye in the previous life, and when she saw clearly that all the joys and sorrows were in vain, she finally understood: Although dreams are illusory, feelings are real; although this life is short, love will last forever.
Intention: Death is not the end, but another beginning; although this life is like a dream, love and consciousness will never end.
