Qiaoqiao is an ordinary little witch living in Xize, a small inland city. Her magic is only enough to make bottles float down and withered flowers stand up again. When she was seventeen, an acceptance letter without an address took her to Mona Academy—a magic school without walls or gates that can only be seen by those who find it.
Here, Qiao Qiao was assigned to the most mysterious shadow house to learn a required course called "Shadow Class". Teacher Gu Yu told her: "Mona Academy does not teach magic, it teaches what is true." Each student needs to hold a mirror to find his or her true shadow - not the black one on the ground, but the thing hidden deep in everyone's heart that they dare not face.
As the study progresses, Qiaoqiao discovers that there is an ancient seed buried underground at Mona College, which connects the real world and the shadow world. Some people want to open the seal and use the power of shadow to change the past; some want to seal it forever and keep everything as it is. And the old mirror left to her by Qiaoqiao's grandmother turned out to be the only key to unlock the seal.
When his friends are trapped in the shadow world, when the truth is revealed layer by layer, and when thirty-seven years of waiting are hidden in Shen Yuan's gray eyes, Qiaoqiao must make a choice: let the shadow world overlap with reality and let all the lost people "come back"; or accept regrets and live in the imperfection of reality?
This is a story about growth, courage and acceptance. Magic is not for doing big things, it's for doing right things. When you dare to step into your own shadow, you find your way home.
Purpose: Facing the inner shadow, accepting imperfection and loss, and finding the true self in growth.
