When Jiang Xiaoyu woke up, he didn't remember anything.
He doesn't remember how he came to this school, or whether this world has his past. But he "knows" that he possesses a technique called "fugue" - the ability to control his own sense of existence. When you become virtual, others can't touch you, and you can't touch the world; when you become real, you can fight, touch, and exist.
He was enrolled in the second grade of the Tokyo Metropolitan College of Magic, and was in the same class as Gojo Satoru, Natsura Ketsu, and Ieiri Shoko.
Gojo Satoru is a genius, the "strongest", and a being that everyone looks up to. He wears sunglasses, talks like a jerk, and never looks anyone in the eye. Jiang Xiaoyu didn't know why, but she always wanted him to take another look at her.
It wasn't love at first sight. It was slowly discovered that the loneliness under that person's arrogant appearance coincided perfectly with the emptiness in his heart.
But Jiang Xiaoyu has a secret: his memory is broken.
Certain moments—a certain sentence, a certain scene, a certain person's face—trigger a fragmented sense of déjà vu. He couldn't see the whole picture, he just knew something bad was going to happen in the future. And by the time he really sees those pictures clearly, it's often too late.
During the reversal phase, Fugue can only protect itself and has no output. He is the weakest of all.
But Jiang Xiaoyu wanted to protect someone.
Even if you have to exchange the "existence" you are best at for his existence.
Even in the end, he had to hand over the matter of "loving him" himself.
