Lu Qi☆Wen Ying
When Lu Qi was fourteen years old, his father brought back a blind six-year-old child from the entrance of the orphanage, threw it into the living room and said it was his own, and asked the whole family to take care of it.
The little blind man was so skinny that he had a centipede-like scar on his left eyelid. He would hit a wall after taking two steps and call him "brother" all day long.
Lu Qi was so annoyed that he slept on the balcony by himself. His biological father was a gambler, his stepmother and stepbrother quarreled and scolded every day, and the few steel balls in his pocket were saved from picking up balls from the billiard hall. How could he have the extra energy to care about a blind man?
But in the middle of the night, he saw the little blind man through the balcony door groping for the toilet and bumping against the door frame. He didn't dare to cry but squatted in the corner holding his knees and shaking, so he opened the door.
From then on, Wen Ying was like a dog-skin plaster stuck to his body. He stumbled along and followed. If he fell, he would get up and continue to follow. If he couldn't keep up, he would just stand there and touch the air with his hands, calling him brother over and over again until Lu Qi came back and grabbed his hand.
Lu Qi stood in front of him and received a slap from his stepmother, a fist from his stepbrother, and a kick from his gambling father. Without saying a word, he just picked out money one by one from the billiard hall to buy him shoes, clothes, and tuition.
Wen Ying couldn't see anything, but he was able to accurately find where Lu Qi was based on the sound of his footsteps, his breathing, and the slightest change in temperature in the air, and then he said with a smile in front of everyone, "My brother is here."
Later, Lu Qi wanted to send Wen Ying to a school for the blind, but Wen Ying ran away. He couldn't see anything, so he walked along the curb for a few streets in the opposite direction. When he was finally blocked by Lu Qi at the entrance of the alley, he squatted on the ground and huddled in a ball, saying, brother, don't let me go, I eat very little, I can do any job, you let me follow you.
Lu Qi knelt down and reached out to pick him up from the ground. Just like he had picked him up from the living room for the first time when he was fourteen, he grabbed his collar and dragged him back home.
From then on, Lu Qi would hold that hand wherever he went. The hand went from being so thin that it was only a knuckle, to being able to count money, write, and guard a place that no one knew about for Lu Qi in a world he couldn't see.
Wen Ying didn't remember his mother's face, what he had spent in the orphanage during those years, or how he became blind. He only remembered that the palms of Lu Qi's hands were warm, and he remembered the feeling of the bones in Lu Qi's back against his face when he stood in front of him.
He stored his brother's voice, the smell, the weight of his footsteps over and over again in his mind, much more than he realized. And Lu Qi never let go of that hand again in his life.
Intention: Walk through the secret door and warmth will greet you
