"The Dawn of the Fog" takes the "412" coup launched by Wuhan in 1927 as the time and space background. It interweaves historical time and space with the fate of the characters in the novel, trying to construct an image of the revolutionary young man "Wei Lai" who grew up in the fire and blood. To this end, during the preparation stage of the novel's creation, we carefully reviewed the highs and lows of China's new democratic revolution around 1927. The occurrence of the "April 12" coup severely damaged the Chinese Revolution and marked the move from victory to failure. The vigorous revolution suddenly reached its lowest point amid betrayal and massacre. The new democratic revolution led by our party suffered the most painful losses since its founding. Countless revolutionary backbones and masses were stained with blood in the Huangpu River and Han River. This creation anchors the time and space of the story in "Wuhan" in 1927, a city that went from a revolutionary wave to a city that became a dictatorship. Through the close interweaving of historical time and space with the fate of the characters in the novel, it attempts to construct a three-dimensional image of the revolutionary youth "Wei Lai" growing up in the fire and blood. The background of the novel is set in Wuhan, where the "April 12" coup was launched in 1927. The main line of the story is: starting with the "April 12" coup and witnessing the persecution of classmates and friends, and feeling shaken, and then in the bloody siege after the "July 15" incident, witnessing the death of Lao Zhou, who was both a teacher and a friend, and his faith was sublimated into a firm revolutionary belief.
Purpose: Through the perspective of Wei Lai, an ordinary bank employee, we try to explore the individual's spiritual journey and value choices in the great changes of the times.
