In the summer of 1998, in front of the People's Hospital in Shigatse, Tibet, a couple wanted to adopt a baby girl to make up the word "good", but found out that she was the illegitimate daughter of her husband's brother. This girl named Chen Xi has been living in the shadow of her life since she was born.
Twenty years later, she met the painter Shen Yanqing who came to Tibet to collect works. One is a plateau daughter trapped by her life experience, and the other is a Jiangnan talent trapped by the past.
