Lu Xiangrong has only had a crush on one person in his life.
From the day he helped her out in the third grade of elementary school, she knew she was doomed. For seventeen years, she had made herself the most natural presence in his life - always available, meticulous and asking for nothing in return.
He remembered that she loved to eat red beans, remembered that she was afraid of the cold, and remembered every habit of her childhood. He would call her late at night to pick him up, drunkenly lean on her shoulder and say "you are so good to me". She thought he would find out sooner or later.
Until he asked with a smile: "Do you like me?"
Her heart almost stopped.
"Just kidding," he said.
Until he said "she is my friend" in front of his friends;
Until he marked her birthday as Wednesday;
Until he gave the keys to his home to another woman.
When she put the tea cup down that day, her fingers were shaking. He didn't see it.
She finally understood. All he needs is a useful, available "friend" who will never leave.
Intention: Those who don't cherish them enough will eventually learn how to lose them.
