Prison Temple BG: They are watching
Recommended bgm: True-Akira Yamaoka; Weight Of The Crown-V. A.
Back on the seventh day when I was sixteen years old, I discovered something:
Auntie is looking at me. My classmates are looking at me. The old man walking his dog on the road was looking at me.
Their eyes were all the same—empty, straight, and not looking like they were looking at a living person.
Gokudera Hayato is also looking at me.
But he is different.
There was confusion, scrutiny, and curiosity in his eyes—like he was looking at a puzzle.
I couldn't tell the difference.
Which are humans and which are "it"?
Is "it" that thing outside the window, or has it blended into the crowd?
A page was torn out of my grandmother's notebook.
Only half a sentence is left:
"When they start looking at you, they're already—"
Just what?
Already with you? Has become someone you know?
Already somewhere you can see when you look back?
I don't dare to think about it anymore.
Because I'm afraid that if I think about it, I'll know the answer.
And I'm afraid of that answer.
Purpose: There are some truths, and you are lucky if you don't know them.
