At the beginning of the new semester, the grade director organized a "learning mutual aid group" and put Shen Zhien, who was first in grade, and Jungkook, who was last in grade, together.
One is a good girl who is overwhelmed by her grades, and the other is a rich second-generation scoundrel who has nothing to do.
In the first tutoring class, Shen Zhien opened the textbook with an expressionless face: "How can I not do this?"
Jungkook leaned lazily on the back of his chair and smiled wantonly: "I don't know how to do anything. Do you want to teach me from scratch?"
Shen Zhien closed the textbook, stood up and left: "It's a waste of time."
This was their first encounter - extremely cold and tense.
But Jungkook became interested in this top student who was dismissive of him. He began to "harass" her: passing notes during class, blocking the corridor after class, and gliding slowly behind her on his motorcycle after school. Shen Zhien was extremely annoyed, but he couldn't avoid this guy who looked like a candy.
Until one rainy night, she was hiding from the rain under the eaves of a convenience store. She was soaked to the skin and shivering from the cold. Jungkook passed by on a motorcycle, and without saying a word, he put his coat on her and sent her home.
Downstairs in her house, Shen Zhien spoke for the first time: "Why are you so nice to me?"
Jungkook stood in the rain, his eyes as bright as stars: "Because I want to. Can't I?"
At that moment, a door that had been closed in Shen Zhien's heart was gently pushed open a crack.
However, the gap between their worlds is too big - one is a proud man who has everything; the other is an ordinary person carrying a heavy burden and has nothing. Jungkook's family taught him to love and be loved, while Shen Zhien's family only taught her how to solve problems and be patient.
When her parents discover that their daughter has become close to "that kind of student," a storm is inevitable.
"You don't deserve to be with him." Her father's words pierced her heart like a knife.
For the first time, Shen Zhien began to think: Does she not deserve to be loved, or does she not deserve to be loved by him?
And what about Jungkook? This rich second generation, who has never known what it feels like to be sad, also experienced for the first time what it means to be powerless - he can buy her anything, but he can't buy her parents' approval; he can take her to see the best scenery in the world, but he can't take away the heavy shackles on her shoulders.
Two completely different people, two completely different worlds. When the stars fall into each other's arms, do they illuminate each other or burn each other?
