I am Yu, eighteen years old, quiet and timid, as humble as dust and mud.
The overlord is iron-blooded and only gives me tenderness for the rest of my life.
When Chu Zhang met, life and death followed each other, and they lived up to their deep love.
The strength is overwhelming the mountains and the world is overwhelming,
When times are unfavorable, good things never fade away.
What can be done if the glory is not gone?
Yuxi, Yuxi, what can I do!
This poem was written by Xiang Yu when he was besieged by the Han army in Gaixia (today's southeast of Lingbi, Anhui), his soldiers were out of food, and he heard that he was besieged on all sides at night. It expressed his grief and indignation at the end of his hero's life and his reluctance to leave his beloved concubine Yu Ji.
Purpose: To tell the story of the troubled love between Yu Er, a humble woman, and Xiang Yu, the overlord of Western Chu, which begins with pity and ends with life and death, and conveys the emotional core of "taking a humble body to meet the hot and deep love".
