On a rainy night, seven people woke up in the abandoned old building of "Ankang Welfare Institute" in the south of the city. They were locked in different rooms, with only one battery left on their phones, and the same message displayed on the screen: "I'm sorry, mom loves you."
The seven people are strangers to each other and have different ages, professions and backgrounds - a depressed young female forensic doctor, a middle-aged homeless man with amnesia, an IT elite suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder, and a girl who is aphasic after domestic violence... The only thing they have in common is that they are all adopted orphans, and the message comes from their common adoptive mother - "Shen Huiping", the director of the welfare home who disappeared fifteen years ago.
As time passed while trapped, they discovered that there was an elaborate "game" hidden in this building: each room contained a growth file about a child, and the "sins" recorded in the file corresponded to the deepest secrets in each of their hearts. What's even more weird is that there is a room in the building that can never be opened, and the door sign says "Seventh Child".
When the body of the first person is discovered, the real nightmare begins to awaken - the murderer is among the seven of them, and each of them may be the most hidden "seventh prisoner."
Intention: Each of us is a "prisoner" of our original family. Those memories of fear, guilt, and not being loved that were implanted in childhood form a prison cell that we cannot get out of throughout our lives. The real "prison break" is not to escape from the person who hurt you, but to let go of the self that is trapped in the past.
