The world collapsed in a nuclear winter decades ago. Radiation, mutated creatures and lack of resources are daily life for survivors. Human beings gathered in several relatively safe "oasis" or "barriers" to survive. The protagonist Chen Jin is a scavenger who wanders on the edge of the "Old City" and the "Dead Land". In order to find an antidote for his sister who is suffering from radiation sickness, he must break into the most dangerous forbidden area.
Character setting
- Chen Jin: 28 years old, former member of the "Scavenger" team, acted alone because his sister was ill. Calm, ruthless, and agile, he knows the rules of survival in the wasteland very well.
- Xiaoya: 12 years old, Chen Jin's younger sister, suffering from severe radiation sickness and weak in body, is Chen Jin's only motivation to survive.
- Mysterious man (Lin): A researcher in Area B-17. The chip left behind is a key clue to the story.
