An embroidery needle brings about cross-border friendship, and half a piece of silk cloth carries cultural heritage. Somsak, a wealthy son from Chiang Mai, went to Beijing to find his roots, and unexpectedly became roommates with Wen Yan, a descendant of the Suzhou embroidery family. From beginners who are new to stitching to business partners who have a tacit understanding, from spending time together in Tsinghua University Park to caring for thousands of miles between Suzhou and Chiang Mai, they use silk threads as a bridge to let the delicacy of Suzhou embroidery and the passionate collision and blending of Thai craftsmanship. After ten years of perseverance, the two worked together to innovate, allowing traditional crafts to move out of museums and onto the international stage. Together for half their lives, they used sincerity to break down national barriers, making their friendship more mellow over the years. This is a story about love and perseverance, understanding and companionship.
