Yu Yu is a talented painter and a patient with emotional deficit disorder.
He can accurately capture human emotions in his paintings, but he cannot feel love or pain. While rescuing a cat on New Year's Eve, he met Mu Lin - a man suffering from empathy overload syndrome, who felt like hundreds of people were screaming inside him.
With Mu Lin by his side, he felt at peace for the first time.
"You make me feel peaceful." Yu Yu said.
"You make me want to stay," Mu Lin said.
Two emotionally disabled people thought they had found each other's salvation. Mu Lin uses Yu Yu's emptiness to heal his own overload, and Yu Yu uses Mu Lin's existence to learn what "feeling" is.
But they don't know——
He loved him with emptiness, and he loved him with dependence.
This is not love, this is two incomplete people borrowing each other's imperfections.
On Yu Yu's birthday, Mu Lin married someone else.
On the cross-sea bridge, Yu Yu finally understood:
"I will never learn to love him, and I will never learn not to love him."
There are not supposed to be fish in the forest.
What goes in by mistake will eventually be returned.
Intention: Some shortcomings cannot be made up for by hard work. Loving someone with imperfections often ends up hurting two people.
