The continuation of two generations, a mountain, and a cluster of fire. In 1959, Ji Ran walked into Kushan Village with books in his arms, trying to plant the seeds of education in the barren land. He spent his whole life fighting against the silence of the mountains, but only ignited a little light in the eyes of his daughter Ji Tunan.
In 1977, Ji Ran suddenly collapsed on the way to encourage him to study. Tunan was swallowed up by despair, missed the college entrance examination, married a wife, and lived her life as the most ordinary woman in the mountains. Until one day, she said the word "divorce" for her abused sister - the whole village's eyes pierced like thorns, and she saw clearly for the first time in the sting: it turned out that it was never the mountains that trapped her, but the silence passed down from generation to generation. In 1985, Ji Tunan re-entered the college entrance examination room.
This is not a story about "counterattack". It was a father who planted a spark of hope for his daughter, and the daughter finally awakened and walked out of the mountains, proving that a woman does not only have one choice in life: marriage and having children, nor does she need to live as a continuation of anyone else.
