"That street is still there, but we can't go back."
When he was eleven years old, Lin Qi moved away from the street without having time to say goodbye to anyone.
When she was seventeen and in her second year of high school, she met a transfer student at her new school. He is tall and thin, with cold eyebrows and eyes that look at people lightly. It was obviously an unfamiliar face, but it always reminded her of her childhood - that chubby little fat man who didn't like to talk and always followed her around all afternoon.
It wasn't until he smelled the faint scent of herbs on his body that Lin Qi suddenly realized:
He is Chen Mo.
The man who lives across the street.
The man she'd known for as long as she could remember.
The one she didn't even say goodbye to.
Six years have passed, and he has changed a lot, but the way he looks at her remains the same.
But the fireworks street of my childhood is long gone. The playmates of those days broke up, the two adults were at loggerheads, and grandma left. They all know that some things cannot be taken back, and some people are destined to miss one scene.
This is a story about reunion.
It is also a story about farewell.
The side streets are still there.
That year is gone.
Intention: the meaning of reunion
