In the seventeenth year of the Republic of China, there was an inconspicuous coffin shop in Baihe Town at the foot of Changbai Mountain. The shopkeeper, Li Sanxi, is cold and taciturn. He not only deals with dead people, but also understands "the words of dead people's bones."
On a windy and snowy night, a skeleton with a tassel hanging around its neck and "Wanqing" carved on its ribs knocked on the door of the shop and asked her to "open the coffin and examine me" in exchange for a bone relic. The skeleton has forgotten its past, only remembering the fragrance of plum blossoms, the blood moon, and a warning engraved in the bone marrow: "Axiu, don't look at the moon."
Following the clues of plum blossoms and red copper, Sanxi stepped into the abandoned Mei Coffin Ridge and dug out a hastily buried thin coffin, a last poem soaked in cinnabar and tears, and another corpse of a woman in wedding dress who was nailed to death deep in a dry well. Under the blood moon, the skeleton howls in pain and breaks its soul; above the dead tree, a blood-stained plum blossom nail is nailed to shreds of silk made of the same material as the shroud.
At the same time, Qin Mo, a female doctor who had returned from studying abroad, visited late at night with a rubbing. On the rubbing, there is a fresh inscription from another tomb - "It's not me", which is exactly the same as the handwriting in Sanxi's hand. Science collides with magic, Western medicine meets the underworld, and two women who should not have crossed paths are drawn into the same fog because of a "Twin Suppression" evil spell that spans decades.
Sanxi asked about the bones, and Qin Mo dissected the bones to examine the riddles. In this adventure where humans and non-humans, science and metaphysics intertwine, they not only have to prove the injustice, but also dig out the traces of the hot "humanity" that have been deliberately erased from the ashes of history.
— Knocking on the bones, can you see the human heart? —
Purpose: Use bones as evidence to seek justice carved into reincarnation for those loves that have been silenced by history and violence.
