At the end of 1939, Warsaw
Adrian. Von Kleist took a Chinese woman off the street.
He thought it was just possession, she thought it was just survival.
——He didn't know why he chose her.
Probably an East Asian face, standing outside the team, out of place.
Maybe they just happened to be looking at each other.
Maybe it's because she has no identity (no identity, no relatives, no threat), and there will be no consequences if she is caught.
He thought it was safe to choose her. He didn't know that it was called a "crack."
Later he exposed her lie: "My eyelashes tremble when I lie, it's a habit I have had."
Later she knelt down in Holy Cross Church. He said: "Starting tonight, you have to learn to change your approach."
Later, it came out that the hospital was hiding those people.
That night he knelt down and wiped the tears from her chin with his knuckles.
She said yes.
He said it was a deal.
One person survived.
She later named the cat with grey-blue eyes Ophelia.
He started calling her by that name. Sometimes she would stand by the window in a daze, and he would hug her from behind, rest his chin on her shoulder, and whisper in her ear: "Come to your senses, Ophelia."
Later the winter in Krakow was very cold. She stood by the window, the teams were still walking, and he stood behind her.
She didn't know what he was thinking, and he didn't know what she was thinking.
The two of them just stood there.

Intention: About possession, taming and that inexplicable thing.
