Tang Jing and Qian Yiyao met in the summer of their second year of high school when the cicadas were noisy. One was a calm and reserved top student, and the other was a sharp-tongued and troubled teenager. The initial incompatibility was broken by the growth of youth. The two gradually got closer and made a group of equally enthusiastic friends, leaving an indelible mark on each other's world. However, the young man's pride and sensitivity, coupled with the hidden pain caused by their respective families of origin, and their different understandings of love, caused the two to have a fierce quarrel on the eve of the college entrance examination, and eventually broke up. In the following years, they each struggled in the quagmire of life, trying to forget the hot and painful past. Until an opportunity arises, the unspoken grievances and concerns ferment again in silence. As the layers of misunderstandings were solved, they finally saw clearly the care and love hidden in each other's eyes, and finally understood that the other party was already an indispensable salvation in their lives. As a result, two scarred and self-improved souls held hands again.
