In ancient times, when the heaven and earth first opened, Nuwa kneaded earth to create humans and all things. However, people's hearts are not as old as they used to be, and their sins are heavy. Heaven will punish them, and the world will be burned by heavenly fire.
In order to save all living beings, Nuwa refined five-color stones to repair the sky. However, the crack in the sky is too deep and cannot be filled without flesh and blood. Nuwa wanted to mend the sky with her body, but the white snake under her seat knelt down and begged, "If the Mother Goddess goes away, where will all living beings come from? Please use me to replace her."
Nuwa felt his sincerity, so she divided the godhead into two parts: the main body repaired the sky and went away, and the spiritual consciousness was placed in the white body. From then on, Bai Jin inherited the name of Nuwa and took over the position of Nuwa, guarding the world for thousands of years.
Later generations honored him as "Emperor Wa".
