A ripple of mysterious rules at twelve o'clock at noon swept the world, and the skins of humans and domestic dogs were exchanged - humans retained their consciousness but fell into the body of a dog, while the domestic dog occupied the human body but only retained instinct and tameness. Financial elite Chen Mo and his Labrador dog Lao Mai were not spared either. The former dominator became a "dog-bodied man" lying on all fours, while the docile pet became a "shell man" possessing his body.
This absurd replacement is actually a trial against the arrogance of the human species. Chen Mo relied on his calmness and rationality to quickly adapt to the dog body and establish order. However, in the face-to-face with the "shell man", Chen Mo faced his past disregard for life and guilt. In the city, human beings with dog bodies have reestablished the hierarchical order, while the empty-shell people have divided into four groups: docile domestics, naughty domestics, victims of trauma, and wandering groups, slowly evolving in awakening and survival. The dead knot of civilization is gradually emerging: the dog-bodied man has wisdom but no flexible hands, the hollow-shell man has a body but no complex cognition, precision systems continue to wear out due to no one to maintain them, and there are structural gaps in materials.
Purpose: By facing guilt and understanding others, human beings can complete the revision of self-civilization and spiritual awakening.
