This article is mainly in epistolary format, recording the correspondence between Marlene and Fred from 1941 to 1945. They were born in the darkest era of Germany and fell in the place closest to heaven. In their short life, they never forgot freedom, compassion and love. May we remember peace and be grateful to our fathers.
