Lu Chenxi is the most paranoid late-night sound collector in Jiangcheng. His recorder can only contain the sounds of wind, tide, and falling leaves, but excludes human voices. In order to find the last "absolutely silent zone" in the city, he traveled to the late-night corners of Jiangcheng, but at a secluded bench in Binjiang Park, he recorded an unexpected sound - Su Jianwei's extremely light and warm breathing while adjusting the cochlear implant.
Su Jianwei is a cochlear adjuster who works with "sound reconstruction" all day long, gently helping the hearing-impaired to connect with the world. He was quiet and transparent, like a beam of light that was not dazzling, breaking into Lu Chenxi's airtight loneliness.
One is addicted to the silence of no one, and the other is deeply involved in the tenderness of sound. They started from an undeleted recording, walking side by side in the city late at night, listening to the ebb and flow of the tide, the fireworks in the world, and the unspoken heartbeats in each other's hearts. Slowly warming to the bones and echoing gently, this is a long encounter about sound and redemption.
Purpose: Use sound as a medium to heal loneliness and alienation, explore the gentle connection between people, and interpret the core of "silence is not loneliness, love is the echo".
