My name is Yunsheng, I am seventeen years old and have severe autism.
In the eyes of everyone, I am silent, lonely, living in a closed world that no one understands, and my life is pale and lonely.
But they don't know that I have a secret that goes against all human cognition—Fang Wei Space.
It was a transparent water ripple hidden in the corner of my room. It was only a square inch in size, but it contained a whole real and complete world. Buildings, streets, pedestrians, civilization, time, and rules are all the same as reality. Everything is alive and within reach.
When I was six years old, I accidentally broke into this tiny universe, and from then on I became the only person who could freely travel between reality and microspace. In reality, I am an alien abandoned by the world, but in this tiny space, I am a free and silent bystander. I don't have to communicate or cater, and I have a lively and safe feeling that is unique to me. This is my safe haven, all my happiness and sustenance.
I kept this secret for eleven years, until when I was seventeen, terror struck.
In Fang Wei's space, a second identical water ripple entrance appeared;
Pedestrians who were supposed to ignore me suddenly turned their heads and stared at me;
A mysterious old man who can see me appears and reveals the cruelest truth——
I am not the discoverer, but the experimental subject; the tiny space is not a paradise, but a carefully built cage; the existence that created it has been watching me for eleven years.
Stationary pedestrians, twisted space, nested micro-worlds, and peeps everywhere...
The pure land I live in has completely turned into a hunting ground of horror.
I thought I could escape by destroying the entrance, but I found that the game had just begun.
The world is hidden in a small space, life and death are determined in a single thought.
When the whole world is a cage, the only alien can only find the truth in fear.
Purpose: This article uses the surreal setting of "square micro space" as a carrier to explore the boundaries between "normal" and abnormal in the secular perspective; through spatial experiments, the collapse of rules and the ubiquitous fear of voyeurism, it metaphors the survival dilemma of individuals under invisible control and writes about the awakening and resistance of those ignored by the world. The final point of the work is: the real redemption is never to hide in a self-constructed haven, but to face the deepest fear, break through the shackles, and take back your own life.
