(Warning: This story contains a lot of references to the original Sherlock Holmes books. However, the characters themselves have nothing to do with the original books! They are just Sherlock fans with the same name.)
Main CP: Seamus Moriarty/Shrock Holmes
When he was seven years old, Seamus Moriarty opened "The Final Case" and saw the man with the same name being thrown over a waterfall by the protagonist Sherlock Holmes.
From then on, he lived in an absurd fear: one day, the man named Holmes would come and kill him. He read, studied, and collected manuscripts to prove in every possible way that this was just fiction. However, the pressure of reality still made him give up this ridiculous fantasy.
When he was twenty-one, he told this past incident as a joke to strangers in a bar.
The man smiled: What a coincidence, my name is Sherlock Holmes.
At that moment, Seamus was stunned. It dawned on him: he had to act before he was killed.
He investigated everything about the man.
He is a down-and-out detective without a job, a weirdo abandoned by the world, living in a shabby apartment and surviving on video games and cigarettes. How could such a person be Sherlock Holmes?
But he still picked up the broken porcelain pieces.
It wasn't until the blade was pressed against the opponent's throat that he realized that this "Holmes" was just waiting to die.
They didn't face off at the waterfall. They were just facing each other in that crappy apartment, hearing the sirens getting closer.
Then the hand took hold of his wrist.
"Let's escape from here."
Concept: Is a name prophetic about a person?
This is a story about the "curse of the name". Two people with the same name as the protagonists of the Sherlock Holmes series met in London in 2005. One is afraid of being killed, the other is afraid of being loved and noticed. They used quarrels, escapes, and many mornings to rewrite the tragedy written on paper into something that could be lived.
This is not a love story, nor is it an adventure. This is just the process of two ordinary people coming to terms with themselves and the world.
If life were a novel, they would be trapped in the story, but some would tear out the pages and chew them up.
What the story wants to express is: even if you are written as a villain, even if you feel that you are too rock 'n' roll to live past thirty, even if you feel that you are not worthy of being loved, even if you feel that there is no love in the world - there will still be someone who will hold your hand in the rainstorm.
