In the hinterland of the Svarberg Snow Mountains, there is an isolated village.
The people here worship the ancient frost god Herax. They say that the heart of God is a cold flame that never goes out, hidden in the ice cave in the deepest part of the snow-capped mountains. Every year during the polar night, the heart of God will beat once, and the whole mountain will tremble.
But a long time ago, an outsider broke in here. The frost god was furious and disaster struck. Only after the death of that person did the village return to its former peace.
One hundred years later, Vidal found a strange and beautiful boy in the snow. He said that his name was Ivar and he was here to break the time and space cycle in the snowy mountains.
