What is Jianghu? It's the liver and gallbladders that bow to the ground when they meet by chance; it's life and death standing side by side in the shadow of swords; it's the toasts to each other across thousands of mountains and rivers when the moon and stars are scarce. We, a group of people, were originally scattered dust between heaven and earth, but were gathered together by a game and became each other's stars.
Come to think of it, those days when swords were like dreams, those days when laughter and tears were intertwined, turned out to be the most rare gifts in life. The game can be played over again, but such an encounter only happens once in a lifetime.
So write these stories. Each chapter has a different setting and different background—either fairy, martial arts, fantasy, or supernatural beings—but they all contain the same friendship. I want Ming Wei to still hold the sword in another world, let Jiang Guiying continue to ride horses in another world, let Su He's tea always be warm, and let Yu Zixi's harp always be clear. Let our names meet again and again in different stories.
I would like to write this article to record our rare fate in the world. The world is far apart, and we may have to say goodbye eventually, but those days spent side by side have been engraved in our bones and blood and become the mark of our lives. I hope that many years later, when you occasionally think of this period of youth, a smile will appear on the corner of your mouth, just like me at this moment, under the lamp, warming the wine of the old year, thinking of you in the distance.
Jianghu is a dream, and in the dream there is you and me. When you wake up from your dream, cherish each other.
Purpose: to record a journey together
