After escaping from the dead, both hands were severed. The elder brother exchanged his life for prosthetic limbs and the younger brother finally committed suicide in front of the grave on New Year's Day. They both died.
Purpose: The work mainly expresses how the bonds between people can become each other's light in the midst of broken memories and cruel reality; it explores the themes of campus violence, identity, love and redemption, and shows the pure emotions of teenagers protecting each other in troubled times, as well as the helplessness and regret of unpredictable fate.
