Jiang Xubai, a senior high school student, was pressured to the point of collapse, with frequent fragments and blank spaces. He always goes to an unknown watch shop late at night. The owner Shen Yubai is quiet and taciturn, but he can make him feel at ease instantly. Jiang Xubai didn't know that those moments when he thought "he suddenly got better" were never self-healing - it was Shen Yubai who burned his own existence and carried all the darkness for him when he stopped and collapsed.
As Shen Yubai's body declines day by day, the truth is gradually revealed: every time there is a shutdown, he sacrifices his life for Jiang Xubai's stability. When Jiang Xubai suffered the ultimate death, Shen Yubai initiated the last shutdown and completely disappeared from the world, forgotten by everyone. Jiang Xubai recovered and lived peacefully under the sun, but he never knew that there was once a person who stopped himself forever in order to let him live well.
This is a story about silent guardianship and nameless sacrifice, written for all those who carry the darkness for others.
