In a war-torn era, three young people named Guo, Shao and Lou became friends in Wanping Town, which involved a period of love, hate and perseverance that spanned half a lifetime. Guo Yingyu, a lonely daughter, and Shao Junfeng, a warlord in troubled times, have very different personalities and have no intersection with each other, but they got married for political purposes. She didn't know that he had fallen in love with her when he first saw her standing under the warm sun; but in her heart, he was just the third person who beat her and her first love Lou Ziming.
In troubled times, tempered by war, and in life-and-death tests again and again, the two put aside their barriers, gradually moved closer, and shed their prejudice and alienation. They fought side by side in the hail of bullets, rescued the wounded, and protected each other and their unborn children. They made a promise to live together in peace and stay together for a lifetime.
But fate is ruthless, and the separation of life and death will eventually come. Shao Junfeng died on the battlefield. On his deathbed, he finally waited for Guo Yingyu's belated but firm confession - "I will never regret marrying you."
For the rest of her life, Guo Yingyu guarded the small courtyard in Wanping Town, guarded the memories with Shao Junfeng, and took their children with her to survive the war, and finally waited until the founding of New China and the peace they had longed for. She lost her youthfulness, her green hair turned into white hair, and she raised her children alone.
Many years later, her first love Lou Ziming returned with deep love, and invited her to her in his old age when he had no worries about food and clothing, trying to make up for the regrets of the past, but she resolutely refused, and finally chose to stick to that deep love in troubled times. In her twilight years, she fell into a dream in the warm sun, looking back on the joys and sorrows of her life, and reunited tenderly with all the people she cared about.
Purpose: The love between children in troubled times, you protect the country and I protect the home
