Lu Xiangsheng, the prefect of Daming Prefecture, founded the Tianxiong Army, and then the peasant soldiers Lao Huihui, Zhang Xianzhong, and Li Zicheng were repeatedly defeated in the southern and northern wars. They were also ordered to expel the Guanqing Army. In the early days, they repeatedly defeated the Qing Army. Later, due to the constraints of treacherous ministers and lack of food, they were surrounded by a large number of Qing troops and died of exhaustion.
Purpose: To express the complex social and national contradictions in the late Ming Dynasty through the life of the heroic Lu Xiangsheng.
