The whole play is divided into three volumes: In the first volume, "Crisis in the Northern Territory: Fighting to Reject Qin" (Episodes 1-20), Lian Jin goes out to help the Northern Territory, joins forces with Ji Yao and Mo Chen to overthrow the powerful minister Wei Yan, and outsmarts the Western Qin cavalry;
In the second volume, "The Lonely City in the Eastern Land: One Arrow Settles the World" (Episodes 21-40), the Lonely City is besieged, Lian Jin breaks the situation with a letter and the breeze of the bamboo flute, Yan Shuo kills himself to make his ambition known, and Xiao Dan is convinced to follow;
In the third volume "Retire after Success: Penglai Immortal Fate" (Episodes 41-60), Lian Jin refuses to leave the country and goes to the East China Sea. The shark pearl and jade pendant awakens to guide Penglai, and finally returns to seclusion. Ji Yao returns to the north to practice her ideals, and Mo Chen travels around the world.
Purpose: Young people have their own youthful madness. They don't hold swords, halberds and bamboo flutes; commoners can also determine the world. After success, they can retire to the fairyland.
