Synopsis
Lin Yan, a 26-year-old documentary director, is as clear-headed as a precision-operated instrument. There is no word "impulse" in her life plan. Until that summer night, the nineteen-year-old basketball genius Zhou Yubai, soaked to the skin, blocked her way, with burning sparks in his eyes: "Sister, it's time to return the umbrella you lent me seven years ago." Lin Yan has long forgotten. She just gave a little warmth to the boy who was soaked in the rain, but she didn't know that she had become his only source of light and faith during his long adolescence. Zhou Yubai broke into her world with an unstoppable force: on the court, he was a future star that attracted much attention, but in private, he put away all his edge in front of her, and learned to love her clumsily and passionately. "They say that if you wait too long, your love will deteriorate." He lowered his eyes and gently placed the championship medal in her palm, "But I have been in love with you from the beginning." This is a story about "maturity and recklessness", "planning and accidents", "healing and being healed". When the conventional world is invaded by a young sun, do you choose to close the window, or join him and bravely become young again? Purpose: 1. Love as a light source of two-way redemption: explore how love can become a light source that illuminates the gap in each other's lives - Lin Yan filled the emotional void of Zhou Yubai's youth with unintentional acts of kindness and became his faith; while Zhou Yu's white-hot and pure love penetrated the emotional barriers built by Lin Yan due to her childhood experience, healed her fear of losing control, and allowed her to learn to embrace the uncertainty of life again. 2. Breaking the boundaries of age and perception: Focusing on the love between a 26-year-old mature woman and a 19-year-old passionate boy, it challenges society's inherent perceptions and prejudices about "sibling love". It shows the collision of concepts brought about by the age gap (maturity and recklessness, planning and accident), and how to finally cross the gap to achieve mutual understanding and common growth, proving that sincere emotions can transcend social labels set by age. 3. Dialectics between life planning and unexpected beauty: Starting from Lin Yan's "precision instrument" life plan, and through Zhou Yubai's "unexpected" intrusion, we explore the relationship between the preset life trajectory and sudden emotions and opportunities. Revealing that life is not just a step-by-step "project", those unplanned "accidents" often contain opportunities for growth and surprises in life, encouraging people to bravely accept the uncertainty of life. 4. Life awakening from observation to participation: Lin Yan's identity as a documentary director "an outsider observing life" is contrasted with her gradual "participation in her own life" in love. It explores how individuals go from rationally examining and recording other people's stories to finally engaging in true feelings, becoming the protagonist of their own life drama, and completing the awakening of life from observing to experiencing, and from being closed to being open. 5. The two-way nature of love learning and growth: emphasizing that love is not only a collision of emotions, but also a process of mutual learning and common growth. Zhou Yubai went from "loving with passion" to learning to "love in the way the other person needs", showing the maturity of young people's way of love; under the influence of Zhou Yubai, Lin Yan learned to let go of his guard and trust pure emotions again. The two of them shaped each other in love and eventually became a better version of themselves, embodying the "symbiotic light" characteristics of a healthy intimate relationship. 6. The weight of memory and the continuation of emotion: Through the core image of "the umbrella from seven years ago" and the memory killing triggered by key props such as old mobile phones and video tapes, the persistence of memory and its profound impact on current emotions are explored. Zhou Yubai treasured an accidental kindness for seven years and sublimated it into love, showing the power of emotions accumulated over time, and how individuals complete self-construction and persistent pursuit of love with the support of memory.
