Ten years ago, a family dispute caused Shen Che to fall from the clouds into the quagmire. His father was unjustly imprisoned, and his mother was seriously ill. However, his lover Su Qingyan, who he once regarded as his life, stood on the opposite side as a "spectator". Shen Che hated his "hypocrisy", armed himself with tobacco, alcohol and depravity, and lived his life as a "bad person" in other people's words; Su Qingyan hid his secrets, guarded them in the name of "saint", and used public welfare and gentleness to cover up the selfishness and fear that he dared not say.
Ten years later, Shen's mother became critically ill, and mysterious threats followed one after another, pointing to the key evidence Su Qingyan had hidden - the account books left by Shen's father back then. When an old case is brought up again, the truth is exposed like peeling an onion: Shen Che's "rottenness" is armor, underneath is the uncool sincerity; Su Qingyan's "goodness" is disguise, with the fear of losing hidden behind it. When the ledger reveals the truth of "betrayal" and when the guns are pointed at each other, they realize: What has never been extinguished in the sea of hatred is a love that has not faded for ten years; what can grow out of the cracks in a broken mirror is the courage to revive withered trees.

Purpose: To explore the dialectic of "appearance and reality": the so-called "bad people" may not be unkind, the so-called "saints" may not be selfless, and human nature is as complex as ashes; at the same time, writing about "redemption and reconciliation" - the redemption of others is to let go of prejudice; reconciliation with oneself is to admit vulnerability. Finally, we settled on "love and courage": true love is not a perfect fit, but knowing that the other person has scars, but still willing to reach out and hug each other; true courage is not to never fall, but to fall into the mud and dare to stand up again for each other.
