A Miao boy meets a foreigner young man who broke into the village. An accident causes the two to be bound by love. In the entanglement of the poison and the ancient taboos of the Miao people, they explored the truth about the poison while fighting against the pressure of the ethnic group and their inner emotions. Finally, in the collision between tradition and modernity, fate and self, they found the answers that belong to each other.
Purpose: To explore the conflict between voodoo in traditional Miao culture and modern emotional concepts, to show the struggle and redemption of marginalized groups between fate and self, and to express the theme that love can transcend taboos and break prejudice.
