"When memory is no longer a private domain, when truth can be carefully forged - what else can we believe? Maybe there is only one person left who sees through all your lies, but chooses to stand side by side with you."
---
A former police inspector who hates memory crimes and a genius tinkerer who plays with memories are forced to partner up to track down the mastermind behind the use of "memory cages" to create perfect suicides, only to find that they are already in the memory maze designed by the other party.
Purpose: This is a story about "how to protect the bottom line of being a 'human' in an era when memories can be written arbitrarily" - when the external standard of reality collapses, we turn to the glimmer of light reflected in each other's eyes and confirm in the hands of each other: at least at this moment, we truly exist.
