On the night of his 28th birthday, Lin Wan, an unemployed young man, made a wish: "It would be great if I could skip the struggle and just have a family."
-God is clearly hearing-impaired.
When she opened her eyes again, she was lying on the delivery bed in a top private hospital, with contractions like an excavator working on her waist. Next to her are the handsome and perfect stranger husband Gu Yan, and their newborn son Gu Yun'an.
She made a wish to skip the struggle, but ended up skipping the process and giving birth herself.
On one side is the real world of poverty: mothers urging marriage, realistic blind dates, and the anxiety of eating dirt. On one side is the life of "Mrs. Gu" who is extremely wealthy but exquisite in every aspect: a perfect but alienated husband, KPIs for scientific parenting, and a tailor-made "happiness template".
Lin Wan became the bug in his life, randomly jumping between the two worlds.
In reality, she is "the daughter who is not successful enough"; in the Gu family, she is "the wife's program that needs to be debugged". She began to secretly add scenes to the two scripts: ordering extra spicy vegetables in a perfect marriage, and thinking about life KPIs in a blind date.
Until she discovered that her husband, who was as accurate as AI, seemed to have begun to learn "human emotions"; and the little life she was forced to have as a mother was using the purest dependence to anchor her in a responsibility that she could not escape in any world.
This is a poignant fable about whether there are shortcuts in life. When "instant happiness" becomes a reality, what do we get, an empty shell that has lost ourselves, or a second chance to redefine life?
