At the foot of Cangwu Mountain, Xie Zhenshu spends his days guarding half an acre of medicinal fields, with all the spring and autumn vegetation at his fingertips. That day, the mountain fog was thick, and he rescued a man in blood-stained white clothes at the foot of the cliff. I didn't know that he was Li Xun, the pearl of the Immortal Alliance, but I only knew that he was seriously injured, and there was a lingering anger between his brows. Xie Zhenshu collected herbs, cooked tea, and chatted with him about mulberry and hemp. Li Xun gradually loosened the tight strings in his warmth, occasionally giving him instructions on sword moves, or debating the temperament of an elixir. The years gurgled like a stream, flowing over the green cliffs and soaking into the plum branches.
When the pursuers broke through the morning mist, Li Xun shocked the enemy with a sword. When he said goodbye, he stood in the wind and said in a soft but deep voice: "When I come back, we will guard this mountain together." Xie Zhenshu nodded and did not ask about the date of return.
Three years later, the Lord of the Immortal Alliance came to Cangwu. Li Xun, wearing black clothes and a jade crown, was followed by a cloud-like guard of honor. He left behind a storage ring full of rare treasures, but he couldn't say "stay". Xie Zhenshu listened quietly and just smiled. The jar of plum wine brewed for the reunion was buried deep in the earth, along with the years he had never spoken of.
Five years later, the leader of the Immortal Alliance became the Demon of Suppression. He sacrificed his body to the sword, and his soul dispersed into the wind and dew of Kyushu. Xie Zhenshu stepped onto the white jade steps of the Immortal League and saw the tomb standing silently. He returned to Cangshan Mountain, unearthed the wine that had been stored in the dust for eight years, and opened the mud seal. It was as clear and sweet as before. The wine slowly wetted the loess in front of the tomb. He leaned over and whispered: "You said you would come back to plant medicine."
Since then, there has been an additional scene in Qingya: when the plums turn yellow every year, a man in white sits alone on the edge of the cliff, watching the sunset inch by inch sink into the sea of clouds. Until a certain year, the plum blossoms were as ripe as ever, and there was no one left on the cliff. Only the wild medicinal fields remain, the lonely pine trees are silent, accompanied by wind and snow year after year, and listen to the waves of pine trees every night.
