This is an elegy for the prosperous Tang Dynasty written with blood and plum blossoms. The scholar Yan Zichen (Yan Ran) came to the prime minister in a cold window, but he was poisoned, and on his birthday night he coughed up blood and turned into plum blossoms; the general Lu Jingchen (Lu Ling) became a dandy and died on the battlefield, his blood condensed into cinnabar and cold plum blossoms. They once pledged their love with the smoke of pine trees and the fragrance of ink, and made a contract with jade crowns and plum branches, but in the end they failed to keep their birthday promise. When the medicine cup overturned in the deep courtyard of the Prime Minister's Mansion, the arrowhead penetrated the yellow sand outside the Great Wall - the two souls had not dissipated. The unfinished oaths and bone-eroding longings turned into a plum forest connected by roots outside of time. The southern branch covers the ashes of the prime minister's palace, and the northern branch buries the remaining halberds of the battlefield. Deep in the earth's veins, the broken sword and the broken xun embrace each other, brewing the unfinished covenant into spring mud. Every new stamen floating in the wind is the silent sigh of an old friend crossing the boundary between life and death.
Intention: The blood plum is a contract, the soul is connected to the mountains and rivers, and the unfinished alliance will live forever in the destruction.
