In the past (around 2016), I wanted to write a fanfic for cannon fodder girls in sympathetic or grievance martial arts novels. The themes were crude emergency escape (pseudo), over-the-top offense, and B-movie-style black comedy. Tie Pinggu is one of them.
Now (2024, 2025) my vision is different. The initial idea was just to combine the name gag with fungi knowledge, and I wanted to write a simple and refreshing plot. The heroine would eat the annoying original characters like oyster mushrooms eating small bugs. The oyster mushrooms only eat small nematodes hhh, and the heroine eats them freshly. The heroine is Oyster Mushroom. Maybe it's Tie Ping Gu fused with oyster mushrooms.
When Tie Pinggu is asleep, the mycelium in her brain expands the area of the fungal fruiting body, obtains the nutrients needed for growth, branches in her cerebral cortex and other surfaces, like silk, to produce spores, and greatly expands its influence and scope. They are designed to enhance the host's knowledge and brain function. Unfortunately, Aunt Tie Ping lived a repressed life for more than ten years. The girl's immature brain was inhibited by this repression, and she was stimulated and damaged her sanity. Although the changes in her brain were slow, it was difficult for her to bear. So she began to have frequent fevers, dizziness, and confusion, and her body ran on autopilot.
In the original work, when Aunt Tie Ping appeared, the girl next to her was beaten to death by Yao Yue after being teased by Xiao Yu'er, saying that she was her biological sister. This article assumes that the younger sister is a weird and neurotic little girl who has been interested in studying fungi since she was a child. When the younger sister grows up, she is a lazy and brain-dead girl. She actually just laughs to herself inexplicably. After Yueyue beat her to death, she came back to life.
Concept: In the cycle of mycelium and nature, death is not the end, the female character is free, and she does not have to bear the shadow.
