Ye Li is a temporary worker at the Dunhuang Research Institute, and is forced by his employer to burn highly contagious bacterial fragments of antiques. She couldn't bear it, so she secretly moved into the car, had her hand cut off by a Uighur mud brick, and then traveled to the Kucha Trade Road in 1036, where she was rescued by Bai Shu, a young business leader. Ye Li discovered that the brocade patterns on Bai Shu's mother's legacy were consistent with the fragments that he had repaired, so he took the initiative to mend the brocade. Since then, the two have developed feelings for each other as they get along, and their relationship heats up after experiencing a sandstorm. Bai Shu went to Dingyuan Temple to fulfill his vow and took Ye Li to hang a lantern on the top of the cliff to express his intention to stay with her forever. Ye Li confessed that she came from a thousand years later, and Bai Shu expressed that he had already suspected her and was afraid of her sudden disappearance, and the two finally fell in love.
