A love at first sight in their youth, with so much standing between them.
Chi Ningyu was an inner-sect disciple whom everyone said had been admitted through connections. She had some talent, but in the vast world of cultivation it was nothing special, and she had started cultivating and practicing martial arts late.
A single glimpse of someone as a girl quietly planted the seeds of longing. It also left Chi Ningyu with the desire to learn the sword.
She had only seen that person swing her sword once: frost flared instantly, and her figure was as graceful as a crane. She had rescued Chi Ningyu from danger when she was panicking, then calmly composed herself as if nothing had happened. How dazzling she was, like the moon in the heavens. Chi Ningyu never forgot her over the years that followed.
After joining the sect, she discovered that the woman was none other than the sect’s senior sister, Xie Guiyu!
But even seeing each other often couldn’t stop their hearts from drifting farther and farther apart.
The wind blew hard and wild, yet when you looked at me, you smiled.
The blurb may be revised later. It doesn’t quite match the story yet.
My writing isn’t very good. This is my first novel, so I’m treating it as practice.
You don’t need to reread revised sections. I’ll only be adding or deleting words and fixing awkward sentences and typos. The overall plot won’t change.
A little bit of an ensemble story, because I think every vivid story is woven from all kinds of people.
Theme: I want to write about youthful ambition, compassion for all living things, and cultivating immortality to save the world.
