Dropout painter Liang Qian and art student Zhang Mu met and got to know each other on a path outside the mainstream. They supported each other amidst family pressure, career challenges and creative bottlenecks. They used paintbrushes and companionship to build a life and love full of vitality in the gaps in the city.
