This is the last word left by the deceased and the only clue
In April 2025, a bizarre corpse-burning case occurred in an abandoned theater in the old town of Jiangcheng. The identity of the deceased was unknown, and the body was burned beyond recognition, but a note with a poem was left in the ashes. The handwriting on the note does not belong to anyone, and the poem has never appeared in any publication.
Lin Zhaolin, the "cold case hunter" of the Criminal Investigation Detachment, was transferred back to the front line and partnered with behavioral portraitist Shen Zhaolan in the investigation. The two discovered that this poem was not an isolated case - in the past ten years, there had been three unsolved murders in Jiangcheng, and the same poem, the same handwriting, and the same method of burning corpses had appeared.
What is even more disturbing is that these deceased people have no connection with each other, but they all received an anonymous letter before their death. The letter contained only one sentence:
"The spring breeze will not see you"
Lin Zhaolin realized that what they were facing was not a serial killer, but a "poet of death" - a person who wrote eulogies for the deceased before killing people.
But this time, the last line of the poem left by the poet actually pointed to Lin Zhaolin himself.
"I hate that the spring breeze can't see me alone"
He began to suspect that this was not a poem, but a curse.
