Brief outline
Core setting: Song Jin (whose real name is Xiao Se), an orphan of the Xiao family, opens an ancient book shop "Panzhuzhai" under his surname, and is dependent on young Tang Si. However, Tang Si is abducted by his enemy Jingan Manor, and begins a five-year pursuit of revenge.
1. Annihilation and separation
In the 23rd year of Yong'an, the Xiao family was framed and destroyed by powerful ministers and the Jing'an Manor. After Song Jin was rescued, he lived in seclusion under an assumed name and stayed with Tang Si in Panzhuzhai. The manor forced Song Jin to show up and kidnapped Tang Si. Song Jin's rescue failed and Tang Si was robbed to the northwest. Song Jin embarked on the road to trace.
2. Five years of tracking and reunion
Song Jin traveled through the dangerous territory of the northwest, exterminating the remaining evildoers in the manor, but found Tang Si to no avail. Later, it was learned that Tang Si was imprisoned in the Blackwater City Prisoner of War Camp. Song Jin sneaked into Tang Si (pseudonym A Si) who used protective jade to awaken his amnesia. The two broke out of the prison and Tang Si regained his memory, determined to take revenge together.
3. Revenge and revenge
With the help of the old tribe, herdsmen, and eminent monks, the two obtained secret letters, account books, and manor layout plans, sneaked into the manor to seize the list of criminal evidence, and cooperated with the old tribe to kill the manor owner and overthrow the powerful officials. The injustice of the Xiao family was settled.
4. Returning and staying together
Song Jin and Tang Si return to Panzhu Studio, Tang Si confesses their love, and the two-way secret love finally comes true. The two restored the shop, accompanied by the fragrance of ancient books and ink, and established their love in the season of osmanthus, and stayed together peacefully for the rest of their lives.
